I did the sheet "Talking with Torah: what we do" for reference, in case anybody wants to try this at home. Please feel free to print it out and to adapt what I'm doing to suit your circumstances. The only thing I beg of you is this: if you are leading a group like this then please take note that it's a big responsibility. You're there for the group members and they're there for each other. Difficulties arise. We have to be honest, admit our fallibility, and carry on doing our best. It is very easy, as a leader, to put one's own agenda ahead of the welfare of the group or of individuals. In our group, we run questions past each other so as to stay democratic. Even so, we inevitably make mistakes.
The payoff is that you're creating a way in which a group of people can heal their world. Those acts of healing overflow into the rest of the world, into families and into communities. That's why it must be taken seriously.
